By Laws of the River Lodge’s Association


The Association shall be known as the River Lodge’s Association

Application for membership is open to any lodge of Free & Accepted Mason’s recognised as regular by the United Grand Lodge of England named after or connected with a river in the UK or abroad

The following Lodge’s shall be known as Founding Lodges of the Association

The aim of the Association is the promotion of fraternal relationships between member Lodge’s. To support charitable aims, undertake social functions or fund raising in its own name or support those of any of its member lodges
Each member lodge shall nominate a representative to the Association who must be a member of that lodge in good standing.

An electronic ballot of all Association Lodge representatives shall approve membership. Two negative votes will constitute a refusal of membership
Communications between Association representatives shall primarily be by electronic mail or at a meeting of the Association called for the purpose of conducting the business of the Association.

The Association shall hold a minimum of one meeting every year at which a President and Officers of the Association for the following 12 months shall be appointed. That meeting may either be hosted within a regular Lodge meeting or at a time and venue convenient to the President and Secretary of the Association and notification circulated to members giving a minimum of one months notice.

 Inter-visiting is encouraged between member lodges. It is understood that visitors will attend after giving prior notice either to the Secretary or RLA representative of the host lodge and attend at their own expense so that no liability will fall to the host lodge.
